Access To Service is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, run by Jamie Robinson — 50+ years of training dogs, cats, horses, and parrots.
President and Head Trainer
Jamie apprenticed under several trainers early on — in San Diego, Anchorage, and Pinellas County — all working variations of Monks of New Skete, Volhard, C.W. Meisterfeld, and Barbara Woodhouse methods. Adopting an Australian Shepherd named Princess in the late '80s led into the agility world, and from there into a much deeper exploration of behavior and handling — the start of a long process of "crossing over" into more modern, evidence-based methods.
That work eventually became Canine Game Theory: Structured Game Training with a foundation in agility-world thinking, especially the work of Susan Garrett. It's a method built around games rather than commands — training a dog to genuinely perceive and resolve the problems of living in a human world, not just comply with cues.
Jamie discovered the world of service dogs while suspecting her own diabetes diagnosis — and that discovery eventually became Access To Service.
Today, Access To Service is run solely by Jamie, working alongside her own service dog Chesovy and the wider Brains, Bones and Behavior body of work — over 100 published dog training books built on Canine Game Theory.
Access To Service is a fully recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, based in Largo, Florida.
